Balonmano Morvedre was better in the first minutes of the match, and the goals by Fernanda Pinhate and Lilly Torok, both scoring twice, neutralized the goal scored by Rocío Squizziato to open the scoring (1-4). Rocío herself from the pivot and Thais Fermo from the wing, brought the home team closer.

They were minutes in which Balonmano Morvedre was feeling comfortable in attack and in which the local team was not managing to adjust its defensive system, although they remained alive in the match. Past the halfway point of the first half, Celia López after a steal, Marilia Correia and Valheria Valdovinos, were in charge of tying the score on the scoreboard (7-7).

The defense of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was giving many facilities in this second half, and only the good interventions of Irene Sánchez in goal, kept the team in the game. Balonmano Morvedre came to have a four-goal lead in this first half, the Lanzarote players reacting in the final minutes to reach halftime with the tied 10 to 11.
