The Cabildo of Lanzarote has announced that it will allocate 300,000 euros to support and develop sports schools of insular interest. The Institution, chaired by Oswaldo Betancort, has opened the call to apply for these competitive concurrence benefits corresponding to the 2022/2023 season until September 27. The objective of these is to help the growth of the island's sports sector from its base categories.
The Sports Councilor of the Cabildo, Juan Monzón, explained that the purpose of the call is to contribute from the administrations to cover the organizational expenses of the sports schools of Lanzarote, "contributing as much as possible to the personal and sports training of boys and girls."
The requirements to be eligible for the subsidies will be the realization of sports activities related to these aids, participation in official sports competitions of base categories, having carried out an activity with a minimum duration of nine months and that the activity has a frequency of at least two weekly sessions of one hour each, among other requirements.
