The Lanzarote Youth Team is once again among the best and this weekend will play the final phase of the Pancho Camurria Tournament. A right that the people of Lanzarote earned in the previous phase, after defeating El Hierro and being defeated by Tenerife. The poster for the final phase of the Pancho Camurria Canarian Wrestling Tournament is completed with the presence of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma. The Lanzarote Team will face La Palma, champion of the last two editions, in the semifinals.
The team trained by Pepe Barrio has intensely prepared the final phase of the Pancho Camurria Tournament. The last training session was held on the afternoon of this Thursday and the selected wrestlers were very excited to face this historic event. They know that La Palma is the rival to beat, so they will try to make things difficult for the newly crowned champion of the Pancho Camurria Tournament.
The Lanzarote Team will once again be made up of the same wrestlers who played in the previous phase of the Pancho Camurria Tournament. The fourteen wrestlers who will travel to Gran Canaria this weekend are the following:

The José Manuel Hernández arena in Valsequillo (Gran Canaria) hosts the final phase of the Pancho Camurria Tournament. The first semifinal will be played on Saturday starting at 8:00 p.m. and will pit Gran Canaria against Tenerife. Then the teams from Lanzarote and La Palma will compete on the sand of the arena. The final is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m. A fight that can be followed live on Dos de Televisión Canaria.
This trophy is named after the legendary Tenerife wrestler Francisco Marrero Gutiérrez "Camurria", and began to be played in 1985. On two occasions Lanzarote has been runner-up in the Pancho Camurria Tournament, specifically in the 1994 and 2004 editions. On both occasions it fell in the grand final against Tenerife.
