LandBit Lanzarote scores victory in derby against KM13 Gáldar

The San José Obrero men's team closes the regular season with a strong victory

LandBit Lanzarote vs. KM13 Balonmano Gáldar Match

The regular season of the Men's Handball First National Division closed with a new Canarian derby, with KM13 Balonmano Gáldar and LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero facing each other on Saturday afternoon. A match that was dominated from the start by the Lanzarote team, who took the lead from the start of the match, and ended up winning by a clear 24 to 34.

LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero started the match with great professionalism and marking the first differences on the scoreboard. The goals of Diego Fernández, Pedro Cabrera, Mikita Liavonau and Nacho López, put the 0
to 4 on the scoreboard when the first five minutes had not been played. And to all this we must add the good interventions of Juani Villarreal under the sticks, even stopping a seven-meter throw.

Aday Sánchez, coach of Gáldar, had to ask for a time-out to prevent the match from escaping him so quickly. The difference of four goals was maintained for many minutes of the first half, being in the final stretch
of the period when the goals of Alexis Rodríguez and Diego Fernández raised the rent to seven goals (6-13). At the end of the first half, the result was 9 to 16.

KM13 Balonmano Gáldar was not willing to give facilities, starting the second half with a partial of 5 to 1, and that reduced the rent to three goals (14-17). One of the keys to the match was the exclusions suffered
in a row by Saulo López and Guillermo Arencibia, leaving the Galdar team with only five players on the court.

The goals of Alexis Rodríguez, Pedro Cabrera and Diego Fernández, taking advantage of the double inferiority of the locals, served to put land in between again, and leave the match practically sentenced (18-24). Until the end of the
match, Gáldar was at the mercy of LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero and the advantage was around ten goals.

With the result of 24 to 34 the end of the match was reached, adding LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero a new victory in the First National. Next Tuesday, starting at 4:00 p.m., the draw for the promotion phase will be held and the venue where the Lanzarote team will fight for promotion to the Men's Silver Honor Division will be known.
