The Lanzarote race, which counts towards the Autonomic Slalom Championship on Land, was organised by the Las Palmas Federation and, despite having a very short list of participants, had a very entertaining afternoon of motor spectacle on the La Santa section.
The final victory in the touring car category went to the favourite team and current champions of the category, Juan Pedro García-Pedro Manuel Vera from Tenerife, with the Subaru Impreza that this time worked perfectly to take the points from the island of Lanzarote, the third round of this regional event.
The superiority of the Subaru was demonstrated with the victory in each of the four official runs through the 4.7 kilometre section located within the municipality of Tinajo. Saúl Arioc-Francisco Javier with Opel Corsa were second and first in two-wheel drive, while Gustavo Hernández-Rayco Tabares with VW Golf accompanied them on the third step of the final podium.
In car-cross the victory was much more disputed and Oscar Espinosa, Domingo Ramos and finally Raúl Armas, who came out as the winner in this race with his Speed Car Extreme, exchanged the lead, while his teammates had different problems that delayed him in the general classification. The podium was completed by Miguel Santana and Arístides de León.
In total, 11 teams qualified out of the 13 that entered the race, six touring cars and five car-cross.
