Summer is approaching and with it stages begin to close, both in life and in sports. The Lanzarote Raqueta Club is no stranger to all this and this weekend will experience one of the most intense of the year, with the celebration of up to three events where there will be representation of the badminton club.

This Saturday will take place the awards ceremony of the Insular Games of Sports Promotion for the youngest players of the club, who will parade through the Lanzarote Sports City in search of the prizes obtained throughout a year. A season in which they have continued to demonstrate their sporting and personal growth, values that must always be linked to physical activity and the learning of the men and women of the future.

In addition, a total of 16 athletes, accompanied by José Esteban Padrón, Inmaculada Duarte and Daniel Martín as coaches, will travel this Saturday, first thing in the morning, to
Fuerteventura, to compete in the Antigua Sports Hall in the IX Inter-Island Tournament in individual categories and Multigender Doubles, returning to Lanzarote at the end of the day.

On the other hand, Miguel Barbado, will lead the expedition that travels to Tenerife to play the TOP TTR El Rosario, with national points at stake, and where the six players of the call will try to bring back a good handful of medals as they did last week in the TOP TTR San Juan de La Rambla, also in Tenerife.

Despite the frenetic activity and the appearance that the season is already served and that the Lanzarote Raqueta Club is finalizing the activities, nothing is further from reality. This month of June still has to face the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Selections, where the island team will be represented, in addition to launching, on July 3, the morning summer campus.
