Haría CF and CD Tahíche showed a lot of respect on the field in the first leg of the First Regional play-off final. The fear of making a mistake was the main protagonist throughout the 90 minutes of the match, with the teams lacking depth and each team having a part of dominance. The northerners dominated in the first half, and CD Tahíche controlled the match in the second half. With the score tied at zero, the match came to an end and the tie will have to be decided in the return match to be played on Thursday night at the Municipal de Tahíche.
The initial dominance of the match corresponded to Haría CF, a team that took control in the center of the field. Most of Haría's attacking actions came from the right wing, and left-back Samuel had a lot of work to do in defense. In the 4th minute, a recovered ball allowed Gadifer to enter the right wing and his shot was stopped with difficulty by Floro from below. Gadifer and Gaumet were very dangerous on the right wing.
As the minutes passed, the match became more balanced, with CD Tahíche managing to equalize the forces in the center of the field. The first warning from the visitors came in the 25th minute. After a lateral free kick, the ball was loose on the edge of the area, Saúl spliced the ball and the shot went just wide. The minutes passed and very little was the game that was being seen on the synthetic turf of Ladislao Rodríguez Bonilla.
In the final stretch of the first half, Haría had the best chances of danger. In the 41st minute, Gadifer got a ball in the vicinity of the area, gave it back for the arrival of Vladimir and the midfielder's shot went just wide. Just two minutes later it was Bruno who tried with a distant shot, forcing goalkeeper Floro to stretch out from below to send the ball to a corner kick. With the score tied at zero, the first half came to an end.
The second half of the match would continue in the same way, with many precautions on the part of both teams and with fear of making any kind of mistake that would cost them dearly in the tie. In this second half it was CD Tahíche who took control of the game, although they lacked depth and punch in the final meters. Haría in this second half barely attacked and when they could do it they did it with quick counterattacks.
Mahy tried his luck in the 66th minute with a shot that went just wide. Ten minutes later, goalkeeper Igrail had to go all out to clear a lateral free kick executed by Yeray Brito.
In this final stretch of the season, CD Tahíche is using several players from the youth team and they are giving him a lot of flair on the field. Kevin Castro started as a starter and did a great job in the center of the field. And in the final stretch Nadjib entered the field, having in his boots one of the clearest chances of the match. In the 78th minute, he entered through the left side and his cross shot went all over the goal line, without any of his teammates being able to reach the finish.
With the score tied at zero, the match came to an end, leaving the tie open for the return match. The final of the First Regional play-off will have to be resolved at the Municipal de Tahíche, in the match that will be played next Thursday, May 29, starting at 9:00 p.m.
