Goalkeeper Alejandro Martín leaves the UD Lanzarote squad

The UD Lanzarote squad completes its first week of pre-season training this Friday, returning to the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote after four days of work on the Costa Teguise golf course. A week that concludes with the bad news of the departure of goalkeeper Alejandro Martín, a player who will not be able to continue in the team for personal reasons.

Alejandro Martín had become a regular in the squad in recent seasons. After his time in the lower categories of UD Las Palmas, even debuting with the first team, he returned to the rojillo team in the 2016/2017 season. It was going to be his fifth consecutive season, renewing his link with the club during the summer.

Last season he participated in 11 games, all of them as a starter, being 972 minutes on the field and conceding ten goals. An injury and physical discomfort prevented him from having greater continuity. In UD Lanzarote he has played a total of 84 official matches, 83 of them as a starter, playing 7,389 minutes.
