The municipality of Tías regains prominence in the mountain biking calendar with the celebration of the I Tías Bike Race 2026, a competition that will bring together some of the best bikers in the Canary Islands on a spectacular 41-kilometer route that will allow participants to discover a large part of the municipality through its most emblematic trails, paths, and landscapes.
The event, organized by CDASPORT, will be held next Sunday, June 14, with the start scheduled for 10:30 AM in front of the Tías Football Field, as part of the sporting events included in the traditional San Antonio Festivals.
Iván Raña will wear bib number one as ambassador of the event
The first edition of the Tías Bike Race will feature an exceptional participant. The former world triathlon champion, Olympian, and one of the great figures in Spanish sports, Iván Raña, will wear bib number 1 and will also serve as the official ambassador of the event.
His presence represents significant support for a competition that is born with the aim of establishing itself within the regional MTB calendar and becoming a benchmark event for mountain biking enthusiasts.
Tessa Kortekaas is the favorite in the women's category
In the women's competition, all eyes will be on Tessa Kortekaas, considered a priori the main candidate for the final victory. The athlete will have to face a demanding and technical route that will test the endurance and skill of all participants over the 41 kilometers of the race.
A demanding route to enjoy the landscapes of Tías
The organization has designed a course that will allow runners to experience practically the entire municipality of Tías, combining the typical toughness of MTB with some of the most privileged spots and views on the island.
The variety of terrain and the physical demands of the route will make the event a true challenge for all participants, while also guaranteeing a great sporting spectacle for fans and spectators.

In the competitive section, the fight for the top positions is very open. Among the main candidates for victory are prominent names such as Iván Raña, Antonio Padrón, Alexander Hernández, Cristian Cejas, Jonatan Beltrán and Óscar Justo, without forgetting the great equality expected in the different age categories, both male and female.
