The last match of the campaign did not have much rhythm and the two teams ended up drawing

There was nothing at stake in the last match of the season that pitted Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote against Balonmano Ingenio, only the possibility of finishing the regular phase of the competition by adding two new points and winning the last Canarian derby of the season. It was not a good match that was seen on the court of the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion, lacking rhythm and with practically no intensity

The match began with the dominance of Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote, with the locals scoring the first two goals through Rafa Robayna from the left wing and Roc Segarra who culminated a counterattack. Soon the Lanzarote team encountered the first problem, losing pivot Miguel Laguna, a player who was disqualified with a red card for a defensive action.

In the middle of the first half, Balonmano Ingenio managed to take the lead for the first time on the scoreboard with a goal from Rafael Sánchez (7-8). The reaction of Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote was immediate, with Acoidán Martín and Rafa Robayna scoring to tie the score again (9-9).

The coach of Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote, Iñaki Malumbres, requested a time-out with eight minutes left until halftime and as a result changed his defensive system. The locals began to play with a 5:1 defense with Rafa Robayna in the advanced position. The equality was maintained until the end of the first half, reaching halftime with a score of 15 to 16 in favor of the Gran Canaria team.

In the first minutes of the second half, Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote took control of the game. Carmelo Álvarez culminated two quick counterattacks to tie the score and shortly after it was Joel Armas who put the locals ahead again. The 3-0 run conceded forced Carlos Herrera to request a time-out (21-20).

The narrow advantage in favor of the locals was maintained until the final moments of the match. Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote had two chances to increase the differences, being rushed in the circulation and losing the ball. Balonmano Ingenio took the opportunity to tie through Francisco Sánchez and even had the last attacking action to take the victory.

Tie at 30 goals between Gourmet Ampate Lanzarote and Balonmano Ingenio in the last match of the Men's First National League. The Lanzarote team finishes the season in third place in the standings with 44 points, with a balance of 21 wins, 2 draws and 7 losses.
