The Canarian wrestling teams of the island of Lanzarote are beginning to plan for the next season and most of them have closed their rosters. Club Lucha Tao, champion of the Fundación La Caja de Canarias Tournament and the Super Cup, presented its four new reinforcements for the new campaign. The Highlighted "B" Carlos Moreno, former wrestler of CL Unión Sur Yaiza, will be the benchmark of the new sports project of the club presided over by Francisco Díaz "Paquito".
CL Tao has been reinforced with four guaranteed wrestlers for the 2016/2017 season. What has been an open secret in recent weeks is confirmed, with the signing of the Highlighted "B" Carlos Moreno, a wrestler who leaves CL Unión Sur Yaiza after dropping from Highlighted "A". A wrestler who will be in charge of carrying the weight of the team together with the veteran Highlighted "C" Mario Franquiz.
The verdillo team reinforces its midfield with the signings of Alejandro Umpiérrez (CL Unión Sur Yaiza), Alejandro Quesada (CL Guadarfía Arrecife) and Rubén Barrios (CL Guadarfía Arrecife). Three wrestlers who stand out for their work in the midfield and who come from having a more than outstanding season with their respective teams.
The four new signings of CL Tao were presented last Friday at the Andrés Curbelo "Pollo de Tao" arena. The new additions proceeded to sign the respective federative files and as of next Monday, August 1, they will officially be new wrestlers of CL Tao. They arrive at a club that will once again fight for the title of champion in the Second Category tournaments in which it will compete.
In the chapter of casualties, CL Tao loses Cristo Hernández "Callejón VI", Francisco Javier Díaz, Octavio Perera and Francisco Reyes. The Highlighted "A" Cristo Hernández, after three seasons at the club, has signed for CL Maxorata of Fuerteventura and will face a very ambitious project in the majorero team. For his part, Octavio Perera returns to CL Guadarfía Arrecife, a club to which Francisco Reyes will also arrive. Francisco Javier Díaz will be out due to injury.
