After the defeat suffered in Valladolid against Grupo CHR Hand Vall Valldolid during the previous day, CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen received Cañiza at the Lanzarote Sports City. The match ended with a victory for the locals after beating the Galician team by 33 to 26 in a match in which the visitors went from strength to weakness, making a poor start to the second half that was a burden for Domingo Borja Coello's girls.
The performance of Pamela Arca, goalkeeper of the Galician team, stood out during the beginning of the match. This allowed for great equality, with no great distances on the scoreboard. However, Juanmi Pérez's girls accelerated and, after a great 4-1 partial, the Pontevedra team was forced to stop the match with a time-out, however it was very difficult to get the match back in their favor.
Fernanda Insfrán was key in the victory for the Tías team after contributing six goals, and she was very well accompanied in the offensive facet together with the "Lucías" Betancort and Olivier, who added five goals each.
After this victory, CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen regains the lead with eight points, like Carballal, Meaño and Valladolid but with one game less.
