The official competitions are over and sports do not rest during the summer in Lanzarote. Basketball will have several important events during the months of July and August, with different clinics and training camps being held, which will allow improving the individual technique of the participating players. Club Baloncesto Grubati has announced the celebration of the training program "Lanzarote Basketball Workout" which will last for four weeks during the months of July and August.
The facilities of the Blas Cabrera Felipe pavilion in Arrecife will host the "Lanzarote Basketball Workout" from June 30. This is a training program, which aims to improve and consolidate the technical aspects that are not usually worked on during the regular season. Aspects that cannot be worked on due to the tight competition schedule and the little time that can be spent in each of the training sessions.
"Lanzarote Basketball Workout" will feature top-level coaches in player training, such as Ermis Papakonstantinou, Raúl Rodríguez or Luis Macía, among others. The president of CB Grubati, Jonatan Castellano, explains that this is "an opportunity to individually improve the player during the holiday period, having outstanding coaches on the island of Lanzarote who will develop this work".
The "Lanzarote Basketball Workout" training program will be developed over four weeks and "will provide a new vision to the work of individual and technical fundamentals but also tactical, applying new work formulas" says Jonatan Castellano. The president of CB Grubati hopes that these weeks of work will be "taken advantage of by all those who want to continue growing as basketball players".
The sessions are aimed at players between the ages of those born between 1996 and 2004. Training will begin on June 30 with morning hours (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and afternoon hours (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Registrations to participate in the "Lanzarote Basketball Workout" will be open until June 25 and can be made through the email lanzarotebasketballworkout@gmail.com or at the telephones 619.117.546 / 620.783.659 and fax 928.815.253
