On Monday night, the penultimate matchday of the first phase of the Men's Territorial Handball League was played, with the match between Ca´Mario Lanzarote and Marca Gestión Zonzamas. The last derby of the season went to the reserve team of CB San José Obrero, after winning 32-24 against the batatero team, which allows them to close the first phase of the competition as the top-ranked team.
The first minutes of the match were an exchange of goals, with Ca´Mario Lanzarote taking the lead for the first time on the scoreboard with an outside shot by Cristian Luján (3-2). The lead was extended to three goals in favor of the locals with goals from Diego Ruiz and Airam Torres (8-5).

Ca´Mario Lanzarote relaxed too much in the last ten minutes, allowing Marca Gestión Zonzamas to gradually reduce the differences on the scoreboard, with Kevin Rodríguez being very successful in goal. Coach Antonio González did not hesitate to call a timeout to stop the reaction of the visitors, who had achieved a 1-4 run.
