Aureliano Negrín's Muyay finishes second in the last stage of the II Discoveries Race

The II Discoveries Race is an ocean race that takes place every two years and started on July 31 from Viana do Castelo to Cascais, the second stage being on August 4 from Lisbon to Funchal and ending with the third stage that arrived in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where the Muyay of the shipowner Aureliano Negrín and belonging to the fleet of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife with the youngest crew of the entire fleet, with ages ranging from 12 to 20 years, participated.

After giving the start this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from the Funchal Marina, with 12 boats registered, a distance of 284 nautical miles and an average wind between 20 to 25 knots, the Muyay finished second with a time of 1 day, 13 hours and 20 minutes.

A great achievement for such a young crew that has made it, from the sisters Carla, Celia and Valeria Negrín, the brothers Mariano and Andrea Stinga and Felipe Rojido, Borja Peñas.
