Arrecife presents Bewater, an intense sports day in El Reducto

Mayor Yonathan de León and the Councilor for Tourism and Sports, Eli Merino, host a press conference on this new initiative to promote sports on the beach

The Arrecife City Council will present Bewater, the sports days on El Reducto beach, this Tuesday, July 16. The presentation will be at 10:00 a.m. on the new pedestrian promenade next to the city's beach. The meeting with the media and graphics will be at 10:00 a.m., next to the flagpole of the blue flag hoisted in El Reducto, in Arrecife.

Next Saturday, July 20, will host the new dynamizing proposal of the Arrecife City Council to turn the capital into the epicenter of events on the island.

The Arrecife Department of Tourism and Sports is committed to turning the city into the capital of healthy leisure. Bewater is part of this strategy with the development of an intense day in the morning, afternoon and evening, practicing sports in the surroundings of El Reducto, a new outdoor space on the maritime front of the Lanzarote capital that has premiered this summer a new pedestrian and urban image.

 

Beautification and accessibility works on La Arena beach

The Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, accompanied by the Councilor for Beaches and the Environment, Davinia Déniz de León, will present this Tuesday, July 16, the beautification and accessibility works that the Arrecife City Council has launched in the surroundings of La Arena beach, near the MIAC, Castillo de San José.

The meeting with the graphics and journalists will be this Tuesday, July 16, at 12:00 noon, in the area of the cruise passenger promenade near the Castillo de San José, where a small viewpoint is located at the entrances to La Arena beach.

The Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, will attend tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16, the feast of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, to the religious service and subsequent land procession with the image of the Virgen del Carmen. The mass, in the parish church of Valterra, will be at 7:00 p.m. Once the religious celebration is over, there will be a land procession through the surroundings of the Valterra neighborhood and streets near Charco and Valterra.

The Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, will preside over the municipal delegation that will attend this celebration closely linked to the history of the fishing district of Valterra.
