The fans of Unión Deportiva Lanzarote attended the presentation of the Second Division B team in greater numbers than adding the three recent assemblies held, which could mean that they fully trust the twelve members of the board of directors, or that they were eager to meet the new red faces. The illusion in the future was the most commented on at the Club's headquarters on Wednesday night, the fans hope to enjoy this season with the UDL in the hands of Adolfo Pérez. A season of sporting hardships, of suffering until the last day, must be left behind and a new path must begin with the support of all.
Only eleven players remain in the red squad from last season: Marino, Floro, Jorge Campos, Ángel, Raúl, Miguel Ángel, Cotrofe, Gustavo García, Maciot Dévora, JJ Lanza and Ayoze; in addition to the youth players that Adolfo Pérez already had last season but who did not make their debut.
The new additions, including three players who return home after spending a time outside UD Lanzarote, are a total of nine, including Fali, Maikel Padrón and Ito who have already worn red on other occasions. They are joined by goalkeeper Iván Gómez; full-back Robert; centre-back Kolso Sarasúa; attacking midfielder Jaba, and forwards Munduate and Carreño.
The largest landing of players from the youth Honor Division team since UD Lanzarote has been playing in Second Division B occurs this season, to the names of Ayoze and Ángel who already debuted last season are now joined by those of goalkeeper Cristo; centre-back Eliot; centre midfielder Marcos; inside midfielder Ignacio and forward Lolo, who was already in the first team with José Luis Mendilibar, although he did not make his debut. Of these, Cristo and Marcos are still of youth category age.
There is no change in the technical staff with Adolfo Pérez for the second consecutive season as head of the ship, and who has once again entrusted the physical preparation to Iván Fernández. Doctor Zoido and physiotherapist "Piti" will be in charge of taking care of the players.
After the presentation of the UD Lanzarote 2005/2006 squad, the team captain Marino Bacallado took the floor, who later ceded it to coach Adolfo Pérez, and he to president Victoriano Elvira Guillén. All agreed to try to offer a great season to the fans and make a great UD Lanzarote.
