Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros and CB Agüimes, two teams that were in the EBA League last season, faced each other on the third day of the First Autonomous Division and with the aim of adding the victory to fight to return to the national category. Lanzarote and Gran Canaria developed a very even match, with alternatives on the scoreboard and that was decided on the side of the team led by Gustavo Zamora.
Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros started the match quite plugged in, with Gregory Montilla scoring a triple that got the public into the match. CB Agüimes, with greater physical stature, tried to exploit its inside game, encountering a very aggressive defense by the locals. A new triple by Gregory Montilla, a counterattack culminated by Christian Rodríguez and a basket by Axel Bello, made it 14 to 8. The alternatives were still common in this period and everything would have to be resolved in the last ten minutes of the match.
The players of Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros began to accumulate personal fouls, with Axel Bello and Pedro Hernández with four fouls and threatening the continuity of both on the court. It was in the last two minutes when the match was decided on the local side, achieving a 6-0 partial to stand with a clear 59 to 54 with less than a minute to go. The free throws scored by Enrique Peña and Christian Rodríguez sentenced the match.
