About 100 players sign up for the 25th edition of the Rotary Golf Tournament benefiting Calor y Café

The headquarters of the Cabrera Medina/Orvecame Group hosted this Wednesday morning the presentation of the new edition of the Rotary Lanzarote Golf Tournament whose benefits and proceeds will go to the NGO Calor y Café which is tutored by Sor Ana. This year marks the twenty-fifth edition of the tournament, the oldest of its kind promoted in the Canary Islands, and the Cabrera Medina Group donates a vehicle to the player who achieves a hole in one.

The charity tournament, which will feature about 100 players will be held this Saturday, June 9 at the Costa Teguise Golf course facilities.

María José Docal, Ventura Acuña and Joseph Hassan participated in the press conference to announce the characteristics of this charity tournament on behalf of Rotary Club Lanzarote. Hassan is also the director of the organizing committee of this veteran tournament since the first edition. Along with the representatives of Rotary Club Lanzarote, Mamerto Cabrera, representing the Cabrera Medina Group, the director of Teguise Golf, Jaime Canomanuel, and Juan Carlos Albuixech, representing the sponsoring entity of this edition, Sands Beach, participated in the presentation of this charity golf tournament.

Different companies and public institutions on the island have joined as collaborators and sponsors for the celebration of the golf tournament, whose benefits obtained from registrations and raffle sales during the development of the tournament, will be destined to the solidarity programs promoted by the NGO Calor y Café, tutored by Sor Ana Rodríguez, which the Rotary Club supports and collaborates with since its foundation to help vulnerable and resource-poor people.

This new edition of the tournament coincides with the 25th anniversary of the founding and creation of Rotary Club Lanzarote. The awards ceremony and closing cocktail will be in the gardens and pools of the Sands Beach complex in Costa Teguise.
