The young member of the Club Hang On Climbing Lanzarote team, Abian Delgado Thonfeld, became the winner of the Euskadi Open climbing in Block. The athlete from Lanzarote traveled last weekend to Bilbao to participate in the championship, in the Sub14 category.
During his feat in the competition, he managed to pass the qualifiers in fourth position out of a total of 17 participants and win the Open in his category, achieving three Tops on the first attempt and the four Top on the second attempt.
In addition, he was recently called from the Canary Islands Team after getting third place in the Canary Islands Championship two weeks ago. A moment in which he was competing just past a gastroenteritis that had left him quite weak, his father recalled.
At this time, he is preparing to face his first test of the Spanish Cup on April 13 in Cuenca.
