The Haría City Council, in collaboration with C.D. Sandez Competición, has carried out a rally co-pilots course in the municipality, aimed at the entire population. This initiative, which took place on February 22 and 23, aimed to provide around thirty people with new skills in the world of motorsport and promote this sport.
The Councilor for Sports, Alberto de León, stated that this type of activity helps to promote this sporting discipline "so important for the municipality".
"Neighbors and visitors have had the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the role of co-pilot in rally competitions, as well as to live together and enjoy a unique experience," said the councilor.
This free course, which was fully booked with the participation of 40 people, was taught by professional co-pilots David Rivero and Ariday Bonilla. The activities, which were divided into a theoretical and a practical part, began on Saturday 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday 23rd from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In addition, this event had the support of various collaborating entities and companies, including Franquiz Automoción, Perfilan, Rotulaciones Pintadera, Automovilismo Lanzarote and Nazaret Hotels.
The Haría City Council with this type of event "consolidates its commitment to physical activity and the promotion of sport among the northern population".
