Presumably, the popular commercial brand Carrefour has finally achieved its intentions to enter Lanzarote.
We understand that this commercial entity has allegedly bought the Hiperdino in Valterra, which after brief repairs will reopen under the tutelage of the new owners, so it is not surprising that presumably, other shopping centers in Lanzarote may become the property of this commercial firm as custom and traditions in our islands.
From the Kanaryo Titeroygakat Social Organization, we only hope that this commercial entity knows how to integrate perfectly into Lanzarote, respecting our idiosyncrasies and providing benefits to our service companies, farmers, fishermen; we hope that with its arrival, the island's shopping basket will be cheaper, as it is one of the most expensive in Kanaryas today, likewise, we hope they know how to offer branded and quality products because we are tired of the multinationals that through their advertising offer discounts that are not such, with garbage products of their own manufacture.
Multinationals that nullify our service companies, exploit the working class and do not buy the products of the Kanarya Land because the products from abroad are cheaper due to the exploitation of cheap labor.
We believe that all products have a place in a shopping center, wherever they come from and whatever price they have, since the customer, and not the owner of the establishment, must decide whether to purchase the product.
If Carrefour arrives in Lanzarote respecting the "rules of the game", it will always have our full support and the population's backing, and if not, it will have our total public rejection of its form of management and commercial administration.
Welcome to Lanzarote and we hope it is for the best.
