The first step to improve Teguise is precisely to decide that you are not going to stay where you are with your arms crossed, your municipality is the most important thing and it is necessary to move towards the future. If we work as a team to restore hope to our people of Teguise, the results will multiply, because as the verseador Yeray Rodríguez recited in the Casa-Museo del Timple: "...there is no house like your house, no place like Teguise".
That is why we must allow Teguise to have a growth that reaches all sectors of the population equally and for this Marcos Bergaz has the formula that will make it possible: giving value to what is really important.
What really matters is to have a municipality that uses TOURISM as a tool to achieve a sustainable future, without fearing changes. It is about, for example, returning to the town of Costa Teguise that essence that Manrique knew how to portray very well when he designed the Plaza del Pueblo Marinero. You always have to have the doors open to anyone who wants to discover Teguise and slam them shut to any politician who does not have a vocation for public service. Generally they are the same as always, who, if you allow me the expression, already have even the shape of their butt marked on the chair. We need people who inspire illusion!
Bet on CULTURAL VALUES and take care of our HERITAGE because it is our most precious identity, from a Plan to restore our windmills to the recovery of salt flats, hermitages as well as the historical complex of Teguise.
Currently, I work in a center aimed at people with different disabilities or with "special abilities" as I like to call it better...and I think it is necessary to turn Teguise into an INCLUSIVE MUNICIPALITY for everyone. If we want to advance in issues such as accessibility, it is necessary to adapt all playgrounds so that children who need it most can play in a safe environment and with the same opportunities. It cannot be that in the 21st century, in Teguise we still have urban planning that does not have all the access facilities for people with reduced mobility.
Promote EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES to achieve greater economic growth, without ever neglecting the AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK or FISHING sector. I have the best example at home, I belong to a family of farmers who decided to bet on agriculture in Teseguite and in the Villa de Teguise. Humble and hardworking people. That effort to give value to what is ours, is what makes me want to fight for a better municipality.
I do not forget about SPORTS and YOUTH. If we don't take care of our quarry... What future will our athletes have? In Teguise there are registered federated clubs of 17 different sports. It is about time that each of them has the support they deserve. Enough of promises that have not been fulfilled and aid that does not arrive. I am an athlete, I have been a women's soccer player since I was 13 years old and I regularly participate in sports events on the island. I am concerned about the situation that sports clubs in Teguise are going through. I want them to never have to go through something like this again. They need a team of committed people who govern and attend responsibly to all their requests, who help young people because they are our future.
Together we can make Teguise rise to the top of the podium again.
