Yaiza Activa Empleo is the new employment inclusion plan aimed at unemployed people that the City Council, presided over by Óscar Noda, is launching this week by hiring 33 people for the provision of services on different fronts of municipal public action for a period of six months.

The program involves an investment of 336,000 euros and is co-financed by the governments of Spain and the Canary Islands, through the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and the Canary Islands Employment Service, respectively, with the additional backing of the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities (FECAM), to whom the City Council expresses its gratitude for their support in carrying out this new initiative to boost local employability, framed within the Canary Islands Comprehensive Employment Plan.

Rubén Arca, Yaiza's Employment councilor, details that "this Monday, **19 cleaning operatives, 4 socio-cultural monitors, 4 security guards, 3 caretakers, 2 administrative staff, and 1 maintenance operative** began their work, for a total of 33 male and female workers."For his part, the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, highlights "the sum of efforts from the administrations, the employment opportunity for the group of beneficiaries, and the experience it represents for their working lives. Yaiza is a municipality that is close to full employment, so we are pleased that unemployed residents are taking advantage of this opportunity that helps us improve services."
