The Cabildo has awarded the works for the conditioning of the road to the Tinache ravine, located in the Cuchillo de Tinajo area, to the company Lanzagrava S.L, with a budget of 328,917 euros, taxes included, co-financed with FDCAN Funds and the Island Corporation itself.
"These works, so demanded by the residents themselves, will have an approximate execution period of six months and will not only guarantee the evacuation of rainwater, but will also improve and improve access to homes near the ravine,” said the president, María Dolores Corujo.
The Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, for his part, recalled that "during the rainy season there are constant floods in the areas surrounding this road, so the works will consist of improving the channeling and lamination elements in the urban section of the Tinache road." The objective is to reduce, "as far as possible, the dragging of solids that occurs along the channel, preventing them from reaching and contaminating the roads and nearby urban centers."
"The conditioning of this ravine is a commitment of the Cabildo de Lanzarote with the City Council of Tinajo and with the improvement of hydraulic works on our island," they say from the Corporation.
