The Public Works area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote has announced the start of works on the acceleration lane of the LZ-20, as it passes through Argana Baja, this Monday.
“We will start the works at night, to try to affect traffic as little as possible,” says the vice president and Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, who values this intervention as “great news for the island of Lanzarote.”
The works will consist of eliminating the median that currently exists between the road adjacent to the LZ-20 and the main road, so that vehicles can access both the entrance to Arrecife and the access to the Argana Alta neighborhood, without the need to reach the roundabout on the ring road.
The work was awarded to the company Herederos de Juan Acuña S.A., with an execution period of two months from the start of the work, and a total amount of 39,429.20 euros.
The project Acceleration lane on LZ-20 from service road, P.K. 0+550 is a project financed by the Canary Islands Development Funds (FDECAN) corresponding to the year 2023.
