The new Civil Protection body of Tinajo is made up of 13 volunteers who for more than a year and a half have received training in first aid, fire telecommunications and cartography, among others, in a total of ten basic courses. Ángel Lemes Bonilla will be the coordinator of the body.
The official presentation of the body took place this Saturday, January 24, at 12.30 pm in the Plaza San Roque and the event was attended by the Security Councilor in the Cabildo, Ramón Bermúdez, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín and the councilor of the area, Antonio Morales.
The objective of this new body will be to prevent and assist, together with the Local Police, the possible incidents that may occur in the municipality, as well as the performance of the first aid that the protocol indicates until the arrival of health professionals. In addition to signaling and cordoning off areas, among others.
To allow the normal functioning of this new body, the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium has equipped it with basic support material for civil protection.
Visit of the General Director of Security
