The Tinajo City Council has already opened the deadline to submit applications for transportation grants for students pursuing university studies and intermediate or higher level training cycles, both inside and outside the island.
"These grants, endowed this year with a larger budget than last year's, have a clear purpose: we seek to support the families of our municipality who have students inside and outside the island of Lanzarote in a complex time of economic crisis,” says the mayor and head of Education, Jesús Machín.
The allocation for these grants amounts to 52,000 euros and the grants will be 400 euros for students studying outside the island and 275 euros if they are studying within Lanzarote, except in the case of large families. In those cases, the grants are extended to 475 euros and 325 euros, respectively.
The money is intended to cover the costs of travel from their residence to the place chosen to develop their training in the academic year 2021/2022, and may be eligible those registered in the municipality of Tinajo who are studying university, higher artistic and/or training cycles of Vocational Training and Professional Artistic Education of intermediate and higher level.
Information regarding these grants, as well as the application form, requirements and documentation needed to apply for the grant can be found on the website of the City of Tinajo and applications must be submitted in the register of the City Council or in the electronic headquarters of the same.
For any information, those interested can contact the Department of Education, located in the House of Culture of the City of Tinajo or by calling the telephone number 924840037.
