The Tinajo Town Hall celebrates that the Security and Emergency Consortium of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has put out to tender the service to install a permanent ambulance in the municipality and Caleta de Famara.
The process will be in the bidding phase until August 9 at 9:00 a.m. for an amount of 51,000 euros and a contract lasting six months.
The consistory highlights "the already historic request" and is pleased that the Cabildo of Lanzarote "seems" to have finally answered it. In this line, the Councilor for Security, Yurena Cubas, values "more than positively that this perennial request from the Tinajo City Council will see the light after so many years." For her, she emphasizes that "the really important thing is that our neighbors feel safe every day that passes."
The claims go back to the legislature between 2015 and 2019. The request headed by Councilor Cubas is now settled with this news. For this reason, she hopes that "the solution is not only for six months and that it serves for 24 hours in the 365 days of the year."
She also emphasizes that "getting that fast transport will help in the event of any emergency suffered by our neighbors, substantially improving their quality of life, one of our priority objectives."
Meanwhile, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, thanks "the president of the Emergency Consortium, Francisco Aparicio, for recognizing the health helplessness suffered by Tinajo and Caleta de Famara compared to other areas of the island." .
