Tinajo adds two vehicles to the municipal fleet of the Local Police and one for Civil Protection

The Tinajo City Council presented this Tuesday morning, two new vehicles for the Local Police and one for Civil Protection for the municipality.

The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Yurena Cubas, together with the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Emergencies, Marcos Bergaz, presented the new vehicles that will join the municipal fleet. Specifically, the consistory acquired, with its own funds, the two for the Local Police, and the one for Civil Protection with the collaboration of the Security and Emergency Consortium.

“It is very important to increase investments aimed at improving the safety of our neighbors in the municipality. Furthermore, the City Council aims to renew the tools, with new technologies, for the work of the Local Police officers so that they can carry out their work in the best possible conditions. Furthermore, all of this, being responsible for protecting the environment”, highlighted the mayor, Jesús Machín.

The total investment reaches 130,000 euros, including the adaptation of each of the automobiles. The two vehicles of the Local Police correspond to two Ford Cupras, and the one of Civil Protection to an Opel Vivaro. "The automobiles, fully equipped to the latest, are hybrids and therefore comply with the commitment of the municipal government to care for and protect the environment," they point out from the Consistory.

The Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Yurena Cubas, highlighted that “it was necessary to renew the vehicles of the Local Police”. Furthermore, the councilor has valued “the great work carried out each week by the Civil Protection volunteers, being essential in the municipality".
