Tías will have a new roundabout to avoid the "danger" in the accesses to Conil. This was stated by the City Council, after the Cabildo gave the green light to the project and its financing this Thursday. This will allow this roundabout to be built and constructed in the coming months.
This new roundabout will be located at the current intersection of the Los Lirios area, in Tías, towards Conil, in one of the urban sections of the LZ-501 road, towards its confluence between Tías and San Bartolomé. From the Consistory they have explained that in recent months, the Department of Urban Planning has been working "jointly and in coordination" with the Department of Public Works of the Cabildo for the approval and execution of this roundabout.
After the Cabildo Corporation gave the green light to the project, it will be the Department of Public Works of the island who will put it out to tender and pay for its financing, within the Multiannual Investments.
With this new roundabout, "a dangerous intersection" will disappear, which is daily transited by many residents of Conil when they travel to or from Tías, and also by all those residents in the municipality of San Bartolomé, who use this road in their journeys to the south of Lanzarote.
