The sports schools of the municipality of Tías, which until now had to carry out four administrative procedures to apply for the subsidies granted annually by the town hall, from now on, will be able to submit these applications with "anticipated character in a single procedure justifying" their request at the end of the season.
To achieve this simplification of administrative work, the Tías City Council approved a decree of the Alcaldía, published this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Las Palmas, which calls for "subsidies to sports entities for the financing of sports initiation schools in the municipality for the current 2023-2024 academic year." Sports schools have "15 business days" from this Friday to submit their applications.
The purpose of the subsidy is the "financing" of non-profit sports entities for actions, programs or projects whose purpose is the promotion, initiation and promotion of grassroots sports through the technical sports initiation schools of the municipality and that correspond to the period from September 2023 to May 2024.
The city council has allocated a total "maximum amount of 400,000 euros" to cover these subsidies. According to the decree, charged to the 2024 budget, the estimated maximum amount of the subsidy called will be "300,000 euros", being conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit at the time of the resolution of the concession. In addition to the maximum total amount indicated, subsidies may be granted for an additional amount of "100,000 euros" without the need for a new call.
