The plenary session of the Tías City Council unanimously approved this Monday to renew its adherence to the collaboration agreement between the Las Palmas Food Bank and the Canary Federation of Municipalities (Fecam), whereby the aforementioned Bank will continue to supply the Consistory with food with nutritional value for subsequent distribution among the neediest people in the municipality.
The Tías City Council has supplied, by virtue of this agreement and so far this year, food packages to 107 families who are going through a situation of need accredited by the municipal Department of Social Services. Among the distributed foods are milk, cookies, rice, flour, pasta, juices, cereals and follow-on milk for babies.
On the other hand, during the extraordinary plenary session, the calendar was also unanimously approved to continue the work started four years ago to adapt electronic administration to the provisions of the Law on Electronic Access of Citizens to Public Services.
This calendar establishes a period of one year for the Tías City Council to proceed, among other things, to computerize all subsidy and social service procedures and implement the so-called Citizen Folder, through which citizens will have access to forms and public documents through the municipal website [www.ayuntamientodetias.es->www.ayuntamientodetias.es].
In addition, it sets a period of two years to expand the aforementioned Citizen Folder with new services, including the consultation of files or the printing of receipts, as well as for the implementation of the Electronic Registry.
The calendar ratified in the plenary session held this Monday by the Tías City Council also establishes a period of between three and five years for citizens to manage all matters related to the municipal administration electronically, provided that there is budgetary availability as contemplated by the Law.
