The Tías City Council concludes the year 2025 without bank debts and with its accounts and investments up to date, with a total payment balance to the council's thousand suppliers amounting to 22,544,889 euros, corresponding to chapters II, IV, and VI of the budget and not including personnel expenses.
The management executed by the government team led by Mayor José Juan Cruz Saavedra, under the economic direction of Finance Councilor Tomás Silvera, guarantees the stability, solvency, and sustainability of municipal finances.
Tomás Silvera points out that the Tías City Council began 2025 with a budget of 31,445,036 euros, and this year's fiscal period closes with a budget of 51,197,623 euros, after making modifications to incorporate subsidies from other administrations and treasury surpluses.
This increase has been allocated to improving the services provided to citizens and to the execution of projects and investments that directly benefit the quality of life for residents and visitors. In fact, there are currently around 11 million euros earmarked for the execution of various works whose projects have already been awarded.
Throughout this year, the Tías City Council has achieved excellent financial management with a 90% payment rate to suppliers, totaling around one thousand companies. Furthermore, the City Council's collection rate rose to 83.28%, and the collection of closed fiscal years stood at 3,056,570 euros.
Silvera announces that the budget planned for 2026 will continue the upward trend of recent years in the allocations for Social Welfare and Family, Youth, Sports, Environment, Security, and Cleaning, without forgetting the improvement of tourist services, in addition to the forecast for the execution of important public works projects for the municipality.
