The Tías City Council has approved in an ordinary plenary session to admit the strategic environmental document together with the draft Partial Plan of private initiative related to the ZSR-8MC sector of Mácher, initiate the simplified environmental assessment procedure and "send the start request together with the draft Plan and the strategic document to the competent environmental body so that it proceeds to issue the strategic environmental report."
This plenary approval, chaired by José Juan Cruz, is an essential step to be able to carry out the aforementioned Partial Plan, drafted by the entity Urbanfix and promoted by Francisco Eduardo Spínola Francés, representing the entity Multicines Atlántida Lanzarote.
This urban development initiative was requested by means of a letter dated April 30, 2019 and was reiterated together with the presentation of the corrections noted on September 12, 2022. The applicable legislation is determined by the Law on Land and Natural Spaces of the Canary Islands of 2017, the Planning Regulations of the Canary Islands of 2018 and the Environmental Assessment Law of 2013.
Partial Plan
It is planned to urbanize and build a specific area of Mácher, located between the LZ-504 road that connects with Mácher with Puerto del Carmen and the Camino de Los Llanitos.
The area affected by this partial plan occupies 158,657.57 square meters, of which a total of 34,331 square meters located below the LZ-2 road will be transferred to the City Council as public land.
In the ceded space of public land there will be space for public facilities, free spaces and municipal general land.
The Partial Plan related to the ZSR-8MC sector of Mácher will allow the construction of 240 homes, of which 84 will be publicly protected homes. In addition, the City Council will have 10% of the exploitation units.
