A total of 45 unemployed young people from the municipality of Tías have been hired by the City Council to execute three Alternating Training with Employment Programs (PFAE) of Youth Guarantee, financed by the Government of the Canary Islands through the Canarian Employment Service. Each of the programs also has a management, teaching and administrative team of five people who were hired on March 2.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, accompanied by the second deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilor for Human Resources, Kalinda Pérez, welcomed the young people and asked them to take advantage of this tool "to expand their training and acquire experience that they can apply in other jobs."
The student-workers have been hired for a period of 9 months, while the members of the management, teaching and administrative team have been hired for 11 and a half months. Each of the programs is budgeted at 317,963 euros, which totals 953,079 euros.
"Due to the good results of the proposals executed in the municipality of Tías in 2020 and 2021, the current Youth Guarantee projects are connected with those carried out previously", explain from the Consistory, which details that they are called "Building Future II", "Safe Beaches II" and "The Tías Web II".
The three programs
The objective of the "Building Future II" program is to carry out tasks of reform, repair and maintenance of buildings and premises and public areas of the municipality of Tías, as well as the construction of enclosures and other elements. Spaces and buildings of the public sphere of special interest to citizens have been selected with the aim of beautifying the environment and promoting the use and enjoyment of these facilities.
"Safe Beaches II" is of social interest because it protects the safety of users of public bathing areas in natural aquatic spaces, autonomously or integrated into a rescue and lifeguard team, ensuring safety, preventing potentially dangerous situations from occurring by carrying out permanent and efficient surveillance and intervening effectively in the event of an accident or emergency situation.
"The Tías Web" provides the associations and sports clubs of the municipality of Tías with the construction, integration, publication and maintenance of their own websites; in addition to providing them to the different areas and resources of the Tías City Council. It aims for all these associations to have a presence on the internet, can be easily found and can get new and loyal followers.
