The Tías City Council has demanded the "urgent and immediate" repair of the fault that affects the City Council's internet connection since last Sunday, and that is generating "serious consequences for complying with the legal deadlines of its management and with the services provided to citizens."
"Both the top officials of the Tías City Council and the municipal technicians and workers are prevented from processing any file and advancing in the daily work of the local administration, in addition to serving the residents of the municipality," the government group warns in a statement.
In addition, it questions that Telefónica has not given "specific information" about when this incident will be resolved, so the City Council has even warned that it will take legal action against the company.
Initially, the problem also affected the telephone connection, which has already been restored. However, the municipal offices continue without Internet, which affects "businessmen, merchants and residents of the municipality."
