The Teguise City Council will allocate five million to infrastructure from the budgets for this 2007

This Friday, the budgets for this year 2007 will be debated in the Teguise plenary session. It is planned to allocate five million to investments in different infrastructures of the municipality, of the 22.8 million total budget. The construction of the municipal swimming pool, with 1.8 million euros for this year and the works of the Costa Teguise Tourism Excellence Plan, with more than one and a half million, are the projects that will receive the most economic investment.

In addition, only the socio-cultural centers of the municipality will receive 360,000 euros in different interventions for their modernization. The roads and public lighting have 375,000 euros. There will also be major works in other locations. The document includes the execution in Caleta de Caballo of a square and in Tiagua a ball court will be built with a budget of 361.00 euros. Similarly, the works of the multi-purpose hall of the sports center of Tahíche will be completed, which is finalized with 150,000 euros of investment.

Also, among other interventions, this summer the different schools and sports courts of the municipality will receive a set-up of the facilities for a item of 100,000 euros.

On the other hand, the plenary will debate the approval of an urban agreement to build in a unit of action in Tahíche and it is planned to approve the name of Pedro Calero as the new manager of the Board of Trustees of the School of Hospitality of Lanzarote.
