After more than two years in which the northern road of Tabayesco has remained closed to traffic due to landslides of stones on the road, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the area of Public Works, has announced that this road already has a project and financing for the next execution of the repair works.
The area councillor, Jacobo Medina, states that "the drafting of the project to repair the slopes and stone walls that affect three sections of the LZ-207 road, which connects the town of Arrieta with Temisa, has already been completed, so we are now in a position to put out to tender these works that will involve an investment of around 575,000 euros, co-financed with FDCAN funds".
Medina details that the action on this road, which will be carried out in the coming months, "will solve the problem of insecurity that currently exists and will also guarantee access to the residents and owners of the agricultural estates in the area".
In this way, the Cabildo will undertake, in an initial phase, the repair of these three sections with the esplanade of the pavement to stabilise it and the subsequent repair of the rolling surface, which will guarantee the safety and opening to road traffic of this road of insular ownership.
