The San Bartolomé City Council will carry out improvement and expansion works on the municipal funeral home. The City Council is putting this action out to tender for an amount of 537,880 euros, which must be completed in the first half of 2024.
Isidro Pérez advances that "this work is of great importance so that the municipality has adequate services and a calm and respectful environment, where families can meet to say goodbye to their loved ones in the best conditions.”
The funeral home, which is located on Doctor Cerdeña Bethencourt Street, will improve its plumbing, sanitation and electrical equipment facilities. In addition, the construction of a lobby, toilets, annex rooms exclusively for healthcare personnel and an area with a refrigeration chamber has been scheduled.
Likewise, it will have three wake rooms, adapted to the conditions of acoustic, lighting and thermal comfort, an intimate rest room for family members and spaces that allow rest in the open air protected from the wind.
