The Renovating Movement of Tinajo saw the three motions it presented to the Plenary unanimously approved this Wednesday, and also made the mayor face two appearances for the first time to give explanations. "According to what he told us, it is the first time they have been requested in the Plenary of Tinajo," said the president of the party and councilor in the municipality, Antonio Morales, who highlighted the role they are playing in the opposition.
In the first of the appearances, the Renovating Movement of Tinajo asked Jesús Machín about the situation of the General Plan of the municipality, which is still pending approval. "The neighbors cannot continue waiting," warned Antonio Morales, who demanded that the mayor, while the approval of that document continues to be delayed, process and approve specific modifications in the Plenary.
"These are small things that the neighbors request and that can be resolved promptly," defended Morales, who believes that the General Plan must "adapt to the reality" that exists in the municipality. "The mayor says that they are waiting to approve the new document and adapt it to the Land Law, but he was not able to give a date and what we asked him is that in the meantime these specific modifications be processed," he insisted, explaining that they got the commitment from Jesús Machín that he will consult with the technicians.
A "deception" with the units of action
However, what he claims that the mayor did not clarify is whether he really plans to eliminate the planning units of the planning, as he promised. "We asked him to say which technician has told him that they can really be eliminated," explained the councilor of the Renovating Movement of Tinajo, who considers that Jesús Machín "deceived the neighbors" with that promise, since "there are many affected by this issue, with areas that are not being able to develop due to lack of agreement to carry out these units of action".
Regarding the second appearance, on the plans of the government group for the islet and the La Santa estuary, the Renovating Movement of Tinajo demanded that the mayor not request the concession to Coasts if it is not accompanied by a project and investment to improve that space. "That should be done by higher institutions, because the City Council does not have a budget for that," stressed Antonio Morales, who asked the mayor that in the meeting he will hold next week with the Coast Directorate, he "tear a commitment for financing from them." "Because if he asks for the concession but then there is no investment, we are in the same situation."
Approval of recognition to Timbayba
Regarding the motions that the party presented to the Plenary, all three were approved unanimously. Thus, the Renovating Movement of Tinajo has managed to get the City Council to commit to recognizing the Timbayba Cultural Music Group, giving its name to a street. Regarding the other request, which was for this group to be designated as the proclaimer of the next Los Dolores festivities, it was finally agreed that it would be for 2021, since the mayor stated that "he already had a proclaimer for this year", although "he did not want to reveal his name".
In addition, the motion to improve and condition the agricultural market of Tinajo was also approved, as well as to increase its promotion and recover the annual plan of activities that was carried out years ago. "The government group recognized that the influx of public had decreased considerably and that the effort that should have been put in had not been put in," said Antonio Morales.
Finally, the government group agreed to launch a comprehensive action plan in the area of the Calderetas de Las Montañetas, to get it out of the abandonment to which it has been subjected. Among other things, the motion of the Renovating Party of Tinajo that was approved by the Plenary demands that the frequency of garbage collection be increased, that cleaning work be carried out, that obsolete lighting be replaced and that the names of the streets be placed.
