The Association of Mothers and Fathers of Students (AMPA) of CEIP Costa Teguise has expressed its "deep concern" over the lack of a caretaker at the educational center, a situation that has persisted since last October and which hinders the normal development of daily extracurricular activities

For more than three months, the school has been waiting for the Teguise City Council to formalize the hiring of a caretaker, an essential position to guarantee the opening, closing, and supervision of the facilities during the center's various sessions.

Given the lack of response and with the aim of ensuring the safety and proper functioning of activities, the AMPA is considering temporarily suspending extracurricular activities, a measure that would affect dozens of families of students who use this service.

The AMPA of CEIP Costa Teguise requests from the City Council **an urgent solution** that allows normality to be restored at the center and prevents the educational community from being forced to adopt drastic measures due to an administrative deficiency that has been ongoing for some time.It is important to clarify that the city council had been offering this service for years, which made it possible to use the school's facilities for carrying out school activities. Due to a lack of staff, **it is currently being carried out by cleaning staff on a voluntary basis**Among the extracurricular activities that could be suspended are: English, skating, painting, artistic gymnastics, yoga, robotics or chess, Canarian wrestling, and study support
