The PSOE of San Bartolomé asks the Cabildo of Lanzarote for "transparency" regarding the real forecast that exists regarding the replacement of the Farmer's Monument, damaged by the strong wind storm in April of this year and subsequently removed for repair.

The general secretary of the San Bartolomé Group, Raúl de León de León, recalls that eight months have passed since the Cabildo proceeded to dismantle this emblematic work by the artist César Manrique located in the municipality, without having provided any information so far on the repair work of the pieces or the perspectives on their installation.

"We understand that this is a complex and delicate task, both due to the artistic values of the work and the iconic nature of its image, and also due to the adequate security that must be guaranteed in an environment visited each year by thousands of people, but what we are asking the Cabildo is to report objectively and in detail on the restoration tasks and the deadlines it is handling," he emphasizes.

He indicates that in all these months, the little information that has been known "arrives unofficially and with very little rigor", so he insists on the need for the Cabildo to inform the citizens of the island of the details of the process and its forecasts.
