The PSOE in Tías has criticized what it considers "poor management by the government group" in the agility of residence certificates, which from this Saturday will be mandatory to benefit from the subsidy in air and sea transport. The socialists have stated that the PP and San Borondón are "punishing citizens by forcing them not only to queue for a long time at the Town Hall, but also to return to collect the certificates on a second visit".
The PSOE has also lamented the elimination of this service in the municipal office of the El Fondeadero civic center, a situation that, according to the socialists, "increases the cost of the document." "The residents of Puerto del Carmen have to travel up to two times to the Town Hall to obtain the certificate they need, whether they do it by public transport, since they need to take the bus four times, or in a private vehicle," he denounced through a statement.
In this sense, he has reported that in the last month the daily average of residents who request the certificate of residence to travel "is 200 people." Therefore, the PSOE understands that it is "necessary" to rehabilitate the existing service in Puerto del Carmen and speed up the process in the Consistory itself.
"We live on a non-capital island, where transfers are common and frequent for any management, so this regulation cannot become another difficulty for residents," said the PSOE in the Tías City Council.
