The candidate for Mayor of Tinajo, Begoña Hernández, has denounced the "deplorable" situation of the municipality's playgrounds. "The neglect of the Consortium led by Jesús Machín is outrageous. These recreation areas are in a state that can only be described as regrettable," she says.
For Hernández, "it is outrageous that in 2019 the parks are still made of sand, ignoring the European regulations that strictly prohibit them". And "when the government group is reprimanded for this issue, they have been saying for years the usual 'we are working on it,'" she adds.
"Children's parks are one of the recreational spaces where children spend the most time, so the safety of their play elements is essential to avoid accidents. It is contradictory to encourage children to have an active life and offer them deficient public spaces that threaten their safety, since we find broken furniture," she considers.
For the PSOE of Tinajo, "this is another example of the deficient management of CC at the head of the municipality, unable to make a progressive replacement of the furniture and sand of the playgrounds to guarantee fun spaces for all boys and girls, adapting to what the European regulations dictate.
