The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the Minister of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, have visited the improvement and conditioning works carried out on Tenderete Street in Arrecife.
As Loli Corujo explained, these actions consisted of the adaptation of the sidewalks, planting and provision of urban infrastructure in the section between Víctor Hugo Street and Los Geranios Avenue, “an area with substantial needs for improvement and with a broad demand expressed by the citizens of the capital of Lanzarote”.
Likewise, the councilor stressed that the investment by the Cabildo was 1,280,279.68 euros, through which the execution of underground low voltage, telecommunications, irrigation and public lighting pipes was carried out; the realization of new sidewalks that improve the safety of pedestrians, and the placement of plant elements, among other works.
Finally, Mendoza detailed that on the asphalt pavement, several security elements were placed, in order to lower the speed of the vehicles, this being a fairly marked problem in the area.
