The PP warns of the increase in boats and jet skis in El Poril and asks for the area to be marked out

The party believes that it is necessary to "guarantee the safety of bathers" in the face of the "danger" that is generated during the summer

The Popular Group in the Tías City Council has presented a motion to the municipal Plenary to request the installation of a buoy system in the El Poril area in order to clearly delimit the space reserved for bathing.

The request from the Popular Party comes in response to the "proliferation of boats and jet skis" that it claims is occurring with the arrival of the summer period. “The beaches of Puerto del Carmen are an attraction for both tourists and residents, and without a doubt one of the areas where the number of bathers has increased is El Poril, one of the most idyllic places in La Tiñosa,” explains Aroa Pérez, councilor of the Popular Party.

"The problem is that not only are the number of bathers increasing, but also the boats that anchor near the coast and the jet skis that pass very close to the shore, which creates an unsafe situation for people who want to enjoy a swim, swim, dive or snorkel," he warns.

For this reason, the Popular Party believes that it is necessary to urgently place a buoy system that perfectly delimits the areas so that all practices can be compatible in a safe way.

The Popular Party hopes that the Psoe-Lava-Podemos government "will be sensitive to the danger that exists in the El Poril area and assume its responsibility when it comes to guaranteeing safety and taking the necessary steps to mark it out as soon as possible."
