The Popular Group in the Tías City Council has brought to the attention of the Prosecutor's Office the actions carried out by the Consistory presided over by José Juan Cruz, in the surroundings of the Asset of Cultural Interest of the Church of La Candelaria and that were carried out without the corresponding authorization from the Department of Historical Heritage of the Cabildo.
The facts are related to the installation of a sculpture in the Plaza de la Iglesia and the previous works carried out and that have involved the elimination of several elements of furniture and vegetation that until now were part of the place "and that, regardless of the value that the City Council wants to subtract from it, the truth is that they could not have been touched until the Cabildo gave authorization for it", say the popular ones.
From the Popular Party of Tías it is understood that the Consistory should never have ignored that the preparatory works for the placement of the sculpture, and the sculpture itself, were in a BIC environment, as stated in the catalog of the Cabildo and in that of the City Council itself, and that therefore is subject to and must comply with current legislation.
