The Popular Party of Tias regrets the "chaos that was experienced in Puerto del Carmen yesterday due to the rains and floods that were recorded in different points of the avenue and adjacent roads." Rains that left premises and basements flooded, "evidencing the serious deficiencies that the tourist town presents in its infrastructures."
The councilor and president of the Popular Party of Tías, Francisco Aparicio, insists on "the neglect and negligence of the Government of PSOE and Podemos during the last six years in which they have not been able to put on the table and execute a single project aimed at correcting these deficiencies and modernizing the rainwater infrastructures." “In the end, the lack of management in this matter means that when the rains arrive, the embarrassments of our main tourist center come to light.”
For the Populars, "it is essential that the municipal government address this problem and put among its priorities the necessary works that prevent these regrettable incidents from happening again and that so harm the residents as well as the tourist image of the town."
“It is necessary that the municipality has a modern and efficient rainwater system that is capable of managing rain episodes with the speed and efficiency that the circumstances require,” demands Aparicio.
