The Popular Party has criticized the delay of the Teguise Government in opening and launching the cultural and sports center of the town of Tahíche.
The popular group denounces that, since the "big fanfare" announcement by Oswaldo Betancort about the completion of the works for the creation of the cultural and sports center in January, the facilities have not yet been opened for the enjoyment of the residents at the end of September.
The popular councilor describes as “incomprehensible” that the doors of some facilities are still closed “so demanded by the residents and necessary for the development of activities of the cultural associations of the municipality", indicates the councilor.
The center, which was created with the aim of providing the town of Tahiche with a place for social gathering that also serves as headquarters for different associations and groups, was financed with the 2020 Municipal Cooperation Plan for an amount of about 100,000 euros.
The popular entity trusts that the government group of the municipality will act diligently and fulfill its commitments by proceeding to open the facilities as soon as possible.
